By using the app, you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the service and remove your saved data before uninstalling the app.
1. Service provider
Poppie is provided by Francesca Barchietto, an independent developer based in Italy (the “Provider”). For support, complaints, or legal notices, email info@poppieapp.com.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You may start with a guest session or create an account using email and password, Google, or Sign in with Apple on supported devices. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, the confidentiality of your credentials, and activity performed through your account.
The service is not directed to children under 14. Younger users require the involvement of a person exercising parental responsibility where required by applicable law.
3. Poppie features
Some features require a connection, an account, or device permissions. Available features may change over time.
- recording income, expenses, budgets, and custom categories;
- creating personal and shared wallets with different roles;
- capturing, analyzing, and reviewing receipts;
- splitting expenses among participants and exporting transactions;
- collecting and privately synchronizing receipts, invoices, statements, and payment evidence in annual tax files that can be exported for a tax adviser.
- recurring transactions, on-device suggestions for upcoming expenses, and indicative annual 730 estimates based on the data you enter.
4. Receipts, 730 Tax Archive, and analysis
Automated analysis uses an artificial intelligence service to read an image and suggest the merchant, date, amounts, line items, and categories. Results may be incomplete or inaccurate: you must review them before saving, splitting, or using them for financial decisions.
In the 730 Tax Archive, text recognition instead runs on the phone and suggests data and organisational checks, including comparison with the selected Italian tax code. Suggestions, categories, and “ready” or “needs review” states do not determine whether an expense is valid, deductible, or eligible for a tax credit.
Poppie does not replace original tax documents or your tax adviser and does not provide financial, accounting, tax, or legal advice. Keep originals where necessary and verify requirements, payments, and amounts with a professional.
Tax estimates, summaries, and recurrence suggestions are indicative, do not determine an amount due or refundable, and never initiate payments. Any actual refund is entered by the user.
5. Shared wallets
When you join a shared wallet, other authorized members may view wallet and transaction data according to their role. The administrator manages members, roles, and shared content.
Only enter information you may lawfully share and carefully verify the email address of each invited person.
If you upload documents relating to other people, you confirm that you have a valid basis to do so and have provided any information required to those people.
6. Acceptable use
You may not use Poppie to:
- violate laws, third-party rights, or contractual obligations;
- upload unlawful content or personal data you are not authorized to process;
- attempt to bypass security measures, technical limits, or permissions;
- damage, disrupt, or abuse the service or connected services.
7. Permissions and external services
Camera, photos, files, and contacts are used only when you choose the relevant feature and grant permission. You may revoke permissions in device settings, but some features may no longer work.
Authentication, synchronization, profile and wallet images, and request protection rely on Google and Firebase. When you confirm online reading, analysis uses Google Cloud Vertex AI (Gemini) through a Poppie server function. In-app purchases rely on the Apple App Store or Google Play and on RevenueCat. These services are also subject to their respective providers’ terms.
8. Subscriptions and in-app purchases
Some features may require a Poppie Pro subscription. The purchase screen shows the price, currency, duration, any trial, and renewal terms before confirmation. Payment is handled by the device’s app store; Poppie does not receive full payment-card details.
Poppie Pro includes automatic scans with no monthly limit for personal use. Automated or bulk use, use on behalf of third parties, and resale of the service are not permitted. If we detect unusual activity or reasonably suspect abuse, we may temporarily slow or suspend analysis to the extent necessary to protect the service; ordinary personal use is not subject to a monthly counter.
Unless the store states otherwise, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled in the Apple or Google account settings. You can restore purchases from the app. Refunds, withdrawal rights, and billing follow applicable law and the store’s terms without limiting mandatory consumer rights.
9. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the service available and secure, but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may fix, change, suspend, or remove features for technical, security, legal, or product reasons.
When a change materially affects your rights, we will provide appropriate notice in the app or through available contact details.
10. Intellectual property
The app, brand, interface, and related software remain the property of their respective owners. You receive a personal, limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use Poppie in accordance with these Terms.
You retain ownership of the content you enter. You grant only the technical rights needed to process, synchronize, and display it to provide requested features.
11. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, the provider is not responsible for errors caused by user-entered data, unverified automated results, conduct by other wallet members, or unavailable third-party services.
Mandatory consumer rights and liabilities that cannot legally be excluded or limited always remain unaffected.
12. Suspension, leaving, and deletion
You may stop using Poppie at any time. If you have an account, use “Delete account” to request removal of associated cloud data; uninstalling the app alone does not necessarily delete the account or synchronized data.
The 730 Tax Archive requires a registered account and is synchronized to that account’s private space. Signing out removes that device’s cache while the cloud copy remains available at the next sign-in; deleting the account also deletes its 730 Tax Archive.
Deleting a receipt from the document list does not automatically delete its linked transaction or 730 document. Deleting a transaction removes its private payment link from the 730 document but keeps the tax document; deleting a 730 document does not delete the transaction. Private transaction attachments are deleted with the transaction.
We may limit or suspend access in response to serious violations, security risks, or legal obligations, using proportionate measures.
13. Applicable law and contact
These Terms are governed by Italian law. Disputes are submitted to the courts identified by applicable law; if you are a consumer, any mandatory court of the place where you live or are domiciled remains competent where provided by law.
